Golden Milk - Sunshine in a Mug

Say hello to your new favourite natural Anti-Inflammatory go to Turmeric latte, also known as Golden Milk. Turmeric latte, is a great alternative to a coffee, why? because of the HUGE amount of goodness this little cup of sunshine holds.

Golden milk is packed with antioxidants which helps fight cell damage and protects the body from stress. Try to fit in one of these a day.

I love them first thing in the morning, or last thing at night when it’s said to benefit sleep.

We want to reduce inflammation in the body the best we can, as this can cause damage to our cells. So adding Anti-Inflammatory foods into our diet will only benefit us, and improve our overall health. Here's a few ways it can help get to work on your body;

Makes 2 lattes:

    • 2 tsps turmeric

    • 2 tsps cinnamon

    • 1 slightly heaped tsp of coconut oil

    • 2 tsps maple syrup (optional)

    • 500/600ml of almond milk

    • A sprinkling of black pepper - add the black pepper as it aids the absorption of the curcumin, the active anti-inflammatory compound in the turmeric

    • Place all the ingredients in a pan and warm on the hob.

I then like to put a small amount of almond milk in my milk whisker to whip it up a little and add on top.
